The Physics of Poetic Justice

            If A is something

            Like a wave or particle
            Or both in one

That from a distance equals B
            But as it nears
            Makes B grow small

And B will likewise lessen A
            Up close

            Their sum in such proximity
            Becomes much less
Than twice their single normal worth

If you and I have this effect
            On you and me,
            Wouldn’t it seem wiser
            For the two of us
            To stay away
            Than put?
