Give Me a Break

            I admit, I have a few

And you’re right when you say I can only wear
            One pair at a time
But they’re all bargains, believe me, except for, well,
It’s never been a money thing and anyway
            Doesn’t variety count?

You wouldn’t want me to bore myself –
Or you – for that matter, would you?

Not that’s it’s any of your business

            Besides:
            His Most Serene and Immaterial
            Highness George Harrison
Had a lot more fancy cars than I have shoes (or boots)

            So give me a break
