Criminal Exchange

            We could exchange them freely,
            If we so desired,
            Out of charity and
            In plain view

            But kisses seem best suited
To be stolen from each other
            In a dark that throws
            Our crimes into relief
            And begs the question
            “Who’s the thief?”
