I Told You So                                                    


            By the time she finally admitted
            I was right
            My hatred had become
            A fine Italian suit
            Cut so it clung
            Like second skin
            And had begun to lend a
            Swagger to my stride
 
            I told her
            It would consequently be
            Extremely difficult
            To trade it in and don again
            The one it had replaced
 
            Or so I tried
